HELLO:

I am missing the following file:

C:\windows\system32\sndcompat.exe

Everytime I boot up, I get an error message telling me
this File is missing. Everything works fine on my PC.

How can I stop the Error message from coming up ?

TIA,

Jess

Hello,

I do not find any information on Sndcompat.exe. You can look for the file
in the following places.
Run regedit.exe and look for the following registry keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices

Look in the following folders:
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ALL USERS\START MENU\PROGRAMS\STARTUP
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\{username}\START MENU\PROGRAMS\STARTUP
