xperts out there, pls help!! corrupt or missing file system32\conf

all of a sudden i get this message windows could not start because following
file is missing or corrupt \windows\system32\config\system
to solve i did: recovery console when i pressed "r", it kicks me out and this
error comes up. Bad Pool Caller, STOP 0x000000c2 (0x00000043, 0xC30B4000,
0x00000000, 0x00000000)

what does this all mean?
cannot start in safe mode either - missing or corrupt file comes up again.

You need to get into the RECOVERY CONSOLE and run CHKDSK /P several
times - this will fix the corruption that caused the problem to start
with. Once you get that fixed you can do a repair/reinstall if needed to
replace the files.

If you do this correctly you won't lose any files.

thanks for your suggestions. Can't do anything with recovery, won't boot to
safe mode, or any of the advance options (f8), and have no idea where to
even start with BSOD. So, to the service repair we go.
