Missing addresses in Word mail

B

I was trying to apply an address from my mail address book to a letter I am
about to send out and discovered that all of the addresses have been wiped
out. All that is left is an Outlook Express list of my email addresses. I
believe that I have these addresses saved a s part of a back-up, but I can't
figure out where to look for them. A couple of days age I rtried to install
outlook express 7, but had to restore the computer when it replaced my email
addresses with an old email address book.

You never tried to install Outlook Express 7 because there is no such thing.
Also it is NOT possible to "install"any Outlook Express because it is built
into Windows XP.
Word has nothing to do with Windows XP, it is optional software and NOT part
of XP.

Bob,

Try doing a search for .wab. That's the Windows Address Book file format.
You may find your Address Book info. there. And you may be able to import it
back into your Address Book.

Also, go to Start/Programs/Accessories/Address Book and click on
Help/Contents. You'll probably find everything you need to know there.

Good luck,
Milt
