Minor issue....

Hello,
Last night I tried to copy and paste a list of something from a
website, to my desktop. After I started that, I noticed all the icons on my
desktop had a blue background behind the name of the icon is. So, instead of
just say "My Computer", below its icon. Its the icon of the computer, and
below and behind the name of the icon"MY Computer" its now blue. Anyone know
how to get rid off this? I can still read the names and icon just fine, it
just looks tacky as it contrasts aginst the wall paper, thank you.

Hi,

You likely have web items on the desktop. Right click a blank area on the
desktop and choose properties. On the desktop tab click on customize, then
uncheck the items on the web tab. Also, right click the desktop, make sure
"Arrange icons by"/"Lock web items on the desktop" does not have a check
next to it. If it does, click on it to uncheck it.

Sounds like this website may have infected your computer by adding Active
Web content to your desktop and possible some other things. I would follow
Rick's advice then perform multi malware/adware scans of your PC.

Scan your system to rid of Spyware, malware, and parasites. Remember to
update the definitions before performing a full system scan.
