Sabeer Ahamed

Hi

I have a Windows 2000 Domain Controller
Now Windows 2003 Server has released
I need to upgrade to windows 2003 Domain Controller

Since due to less disk space I cannot upgrade my Windows 2000 Operating
System to windows 2003

So I planned for an new system where i will install Windows2003

Now I need to move that Windows 2000 Domain Controller to Windows 2003

How shall I do This ?How to migrate this
Can anyone tell me the steps how to proceed

Regards
Sabeer

Make the Schema changes with adprep /forestprep and adprep /domainprep from
the W2K3 CD. Install Win2K3 as a member server in your domain. Promote it to
DC and make sure you move all your services (DNS,WINS, DHCP etc..) you have
on your current W2K DC and all of your data (if any). When the new W2K3 DC
are finished with the replication, transfer the FSMO roles and demote your
current W2K DC.

/Jimmy
