MIDI Plays, No Other Sounds

If I am on a website that has MIDI, it plays through my
speakers. I can get no other sounds to play through my
speakers, whether using WMP, the beeps, or even the
speaker test on the control panel. I've gone through the
troubleshooter to no avail. Any ideas?

Open WMP/tools/Options/file types ta
now check all file types you want WMP to be used for
Click Apply and OK.
