Microsoft XP spying

According to some evidence, our brains do indeed time split, but most tasks functions are in limited areas. For instance if looking and listening different parts of the brain are involved so they don't need time splitting. But if listening to two things your sense of time slows down because of time splitting.

Lol - I like his show and most of his opinions. I listen for at least 1/2
hour every week day.

That's right, don't forget about Savage........good show.
Man your hardcore Jim.

Have you listened to Ken Hamblin?

He calls himself the Black Avenger and his studio the Cave,
He flies and rides a Harley dresser while wearing buckskins.
He wears a fedora. Neat guy.

Unfortunately our local station took him off the air for Dr.
Laura. I miss hearing him and Internet Radio on dial up
just doesn't work very well.

I never have, no. Not sure if our local talk radio station carries him. I'll
have to look into it. What time does his show air?

Why is it that when I don't allow svhost to connect to the internet or
act as a server,I can not connect to the internet? Is there any way
around this. Why does Win Explorer always want to connect to the
internet? Why does DirectX troubleshoot always want to connect to the
internet. Why does help always want to connect to the internet. Why does
Win Media player always want to connect to the internet. With all this
happening why should I trust Microsoft?I like XP but I will no longer
connect to the internet with this OS.I only connect with Slackware so I
can control what happens a little better.

What the hell has that to do with radio. This is a newsgroup. Stay off topic.

I'd imagine your conection is incorrectly configured. You have your internet configured as a network connection. Maybe it's auto configuration. You need to give details on the attempt to connect. Like the IP address, Port, and protocol. Remember there are many rules. Some are enforced at the ISP level, that is they will drop your packet. There are things called private and public broadcasts. If your ISP gets a private broadcast it just throws it away. There are things in between too.

Alex - I have had a great deal of problems since upgrading to XP to the point that I've about decided to abandon Microsoft entirely. I have had to reformat my hard drive 4 times. At the center of the problems, the same name is always there: ALEXA. Frustrated beyond any point that i should have been, I sought help from the manufacturer of my computer, Compaq/Hewlet-Packard. They labeled ALEXA as extremely annoying rather than malicious but verified that it is indeed MS originated and is downloaded as a registry entry in Explorer 6.0.
If this information is not true we need to know. I have, with the last
reformat, dicarded Explorer in favor of Netscape and have had no further
problems. I do not want to unjustly blame MS for the unbelievably
frustrating events I've had to endure over the last year but whomever is to
blame needs to be uncovered and face the wrath of the consumer. Mike Griffin

Mike;
Alexa as part of Windows is for "Related Links" for Internet Explorer.
If you do not use that feature, Alexa does nothing.
