I recently purchsed a computer with XP software from a
private seller. This was done through installments.
When I got home and tried to use word the program was not
there. The previous owner was more into music than I,
so I crashed the computer and reinstalled the XP
software, thinking the programs I needed would install.

I am not sure, but I think I did see calendar and some
other things before I crashed it.

I need the database and the spreadsheet that is in
microsoftworks.

Please advise me what I can do to get these programs if
they are on the installation disc.

Thanks

Microsoft Works does not come as part of any version of Windows. The best
you can get is WordPad. OTOH, Works is very reasonably priced. An even
better bargain is Works Suite, which retails for under $100 and includes a
full version of Word 2002. See
