Microsoft Word has encluntered a problem and needs to close

OP=XP Pro SP2
MS Office Pro SP3
User getting this message when he opens Word 2003:
"Microsoft Word has encluntered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
forn the inconvenience.
The information you were working on might be lost. MS Word can try to
recover it for you."
Then a check box followowed by: "Recover my work and start MS Office Word."
I then click Dont Send and another message appears:
"Word Failed to start correctly last time. Starting Word in safe mode will
help you correct or isolate a startup problem in order to successfully start
the program. Some functionality may be disabled in this mode.
Do you wish to start Word in safe mode?"

I click Yes and it starts Word.
I did a Detect and Repair in Word and MS Office, uninstalled and reinstalled
MS Office and still same problem.
