microsoft side winder plug&play game pad

My computer does not detech my controller .I added it to ( game
controllers)in control panel and it says not connected but it is connected to
usb port in the front.It work last time i plugged it in.Does anyone have a
suggestion how to fix thank you.
 
Are the front USB ports KNOWN to be working with other hardware devices?
 
Yes my front ports work with my camera.They both work ,so does the web cam
and microphone.
