Microsoft RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer for Windows XP installproblem

David Ellis

The install finished with no complaints, but I don't find a
new shortcut in the XPpro SP2 Start menu, nor can I find an
executable in C:\Program Files\Pro Imaging
Powertoys\Microsoft RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer for
Windows XP\. MRITVWXP appears in add/remove programs where,
after disabling antivirus and firewall, I reinstalled it by
clicking the repair button. This failed to solve the
problem. Any suggestions?

Try right clicking a Canon or Nikon RAW file
and from the menu...choose / Open With /
Microsoft RAW Image Viewer.

Maybe the following links will offer some ideas:

Program found. Thank you. I can't recall, in recent years,
an application so well hidden. It gives new meaning to
stealth technology. :=)
