Microsoft Powerpoint 2003

I recently recieved a CD with data in Powerpoint 2003
format.

I downloaded Powerpoint 2003 ffom Microsoft Downloads and
installed it on my computer.

When I attempted to load from the CD my computer froze
and could only free it by ejecting the CD

What do you think is the problem?Any suggestions?

that hasn't been released to the public yet (here I could be wrong;
was Office 03 released late last week or is it due out this week?).

No, you didn't download PP03 from MS, as they don't have anywhere you
can download their full function office programs. You may have
downloaded a Viewer, but I didn't know there was a viewer for PP 03
already released.

Don't know here. I've never run into this problem.

On the MS webcast last Saturday 10-18-03 it was stated that Office 2003 was to be released Tuesday 10-21-03. So far I haven't seen any ads for it.
