Is PowerPoint included in Office XP Small Business edition?

Guest

I work for a company that recently bought new computers and installed Office
XP Small Business Edition 2003. I assumed that PowerPoint would be one of
the programs included. Do you have to purchase it separately?

I downloaded the PowerPoint Viewer - is there any way to download PowerPoint
if you purchased Office XP?

Thanks for any help.

Office Small Business Edition (SBE) prior to Office 2003 did not include PowerPoint.
To add PowerPoint, you'll need to purchase a "standalone" version of PowerPoint.
(i.e. a box that has only PowerPoint, not all of Office). There is no "download"
for PowerPoint...it must be purchased. A better value would be to upgrade to
Office 2003.

Example:

Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 Upgrade - Retail

Note:

If you have Office Small Business Edition 2002,
then you cannot use the PowerPoint Upgrade. You must
purchase and use PowerPoint Standalone Full Boxed Version.

Note that Office 2002 SBE is not for sale in stores.
It is a OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) version that
may only be installed on one computer.

I downloaded PowerPoint viewer onto my computer, no problems. I also
downloaded powerpoint template creation wizard and powerpoint template pack
1. It shows that I have it when I look in my computer under programs, but I
can't find the icon anywhere. Can anyone help?

Power Point Viewer will not allow you to create new Power Point files It will
just allow to to "see" a Power Point file. As for the other two downloads,
these seem to be useless for you since you do not have the full Power Point
system.
