Microsoft Outlook - not responding

When I go to click on my calendar - it comes up not responding and the mouse
pointer starts spinning in a blue circle. The only way to close it is via
the task manager. This only just started happening this morning. I have
tried a few things and nothing has worked. Please help. Thanks.
