Microsoft Office Picture Manager Fails

Whenever I click on a photo in my pictures I can see the thumbnail but I
can't opent he full picture. I get an error message that says" Micrsoft
Office Picture Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are
sorry for the inconvenience."

Even if I close the message, close the photo folder and reboot the PC I
always get the same message. Is there an updated version or a patch download
available? This is nuts!

Try to open the photos with a different viewer and see if you get the same
message.
Right click on a photo and click on Open with on the opening menu. Click on
Choose program on the opening menu. Click on Windows Picture and Fax Viewer
on the opening list and check the box "Always...."
