Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working - HELP

G-Man

Outlook 2007 has been installed for all of 6 days. Today it stopped
responding. I can no longer run Outlook 2007. Every time I open it I get
"Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working"

I do the Check online for a solution and close the program, and the program
just closes.

I have run Microsoft Office Diagnostics and no errors. Scanpst and no
problems.

I am running Vista Business and Office 2007.

I hate I am going to have to go back to XP Pro and Office 2003, but this is
unbearable. My problem is I copied all my emails to Outlook 2007 so it is
no longer a 2003 format, and I doubt I can open it.

It is not the PST anyway. I moved the PST so Outlook would create a new
one, but it still crashes.

Below is the problem signature. Any help is appreciated.

I want to add these found items.

Outlook runs logged in as someone else.

I can start it s me with the command line and the /safe switch. Of course
rules and a lot of other things don't work.

Anyone?

I thought you might have it, but no joy. New mail profile crashes too.

Well, if it runs in its safe mode which means no add-ons gets loaded
then it sure looks like you installed an add-on that doesn't work either
under Vista or under Outlook 2007. Check all the add-ons or plug-ins,
disable them all, and start Outlook in normal mode. If Outlook works
okay then then an add-on is definitely the problem. Reenable them one
at a time, exit and reload Outlook, and check if Outlook works. When
Outlook stops working is the fault of whatever was the prior add-on you
reenabled.

Looks like it was Cloudnark Spam Filter. Removed and running. Afraid to
reinstall it.

I'm having the same problem and can only start Outlook in safe mode. How do
you disable add-ins in safe mode?

R U Using Cloudmark? Uninstall it. I can't believe how much time I
spent on this and it was bad Cloudmark code.

When add-ons are included to Outlook, they get loaded when Outlook
loads. That is, Outlook loads and then it also loads all the add-ons.
When Outlook exits, it first unloads all the add-ons and then Outlook
unloads. So if an add-on has a problem loading then it can prevent
Outlook from loading, and if an add-on has problem unloading then it can
prevent Outlook from unloading.

While in Outlook for whatever is the unidentified version you are using,
press F1 and search on "add-on" and/or "plug-in". The included help
should mention how to add, remove, or disable them in whatever version
of Outlook you are using.

Add-ins are automatically disabled in safe mode. That's one of its
functions. Read all about it in Help.

Go to the Cloudmark website where they have posted information regarding a
bad update - you will need to uninstall, rename the install folder, and
reinstall.
