Microsoft Natural Keyboard wont work with XP

I have a microsoft Natural Keyboard and i am trying to
use it with Windows XP Professional. There is power to
the keyboard and the pc boots properly, but when i try to
type or press ANY key, nothing registers on the computer.

I checked the microsoft website and there were drivers
for a Natural Keyboard Pro, or Natural Keyboard
Multimedia, but my keyboard simply says, Natural
Keyboard.

I was wondering if anyone here had ANY info about this at
all or any idea why the keyboard wont work. I tried the
Intellitype 5.0 software but it did nothing.

I dont know why XP doesnt have support for a microsoft
keyboard. If you can help, please send me an email,
(e-mail address removed)

Please help
Thanks in advance

The drivers make the "special" keys work, but the keyboard
should work without and before any keyboard specific drivers
are installed.
Are you using a USB or PS/2 interface?

I am thinking you have a bad keyboard or connector.

You shouldn't need any drivers per se to get the keyboard working.

Make sure you have the keyboard plugged into the right port (ie don't plug
it into the mouse port)
