microsoft link didn't help me find my address book

I am using outlook 2002 and just copied all of my files to another computer
since my hard drive is being sent to Dell. When I try to access my contact
when writing email I get the message "The address list could not be
displayed. The contact folder associated with this address list could not be
opened" I found the link on this site to
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;287563&Product=ol2002
but it still doesn't work. When I go to view or change existing directories
in address books, it has both Outlook address book and personal address book
with MAPI. I don't know if that is the address for my contacts or not.
When I try to add them to my address book, it says that they are already
there. I've spent 3.5 hours trying to figure this out and I am not computer
savvy so I am sooo lost. Can anyone help please?

It is the Outlook Address Book that displays your contacts. Try removing it through the accounts dialog, restarting Outlook, then adding it back.

Oh Sue, thank you so much. I am one step closer. It brought in Contacts but
not the subfiles. I feel so much better getting a little closer. Thanks
again

I found the answer through one of your other answers and all I can say is
Bless You!!!! How kind of you and now I can go fishing tomorrow instead of
pulling my hair out. Thanks so much!
