Microsoft Home Networking and logging onto a Windows 98 SE machine

I have set up home networking on both my XP professional and windows 98
machines. I can see the drive on the XP machine from the 98 machine, but not
entirely vice versa...all i can see from the XP of the 98 is a shared
documents folder. when i try to log onto the main drive, i get a password
window that pops up but no password i've offered it seems to satisfy it. i
would like to see the other drives on the 98 machine, especially the floppy
and tape. please advise

First make sure you have selected "share-level access control" in "Control
Panel" - "Network" in the 98 machine.
Thereafter go to Windows Explorer or My Computer, righ click the Drive or
Folder you want to share on the 98 machine, click "Properties" then click
"Sharing", When the Sharing Dialogue Box Open, Click "Shared as" and below
click "Full" under Access Type, click OK.
This should solve the issue.
