Microsoft forums cannot remember login

Why is it that Windows xp and microsoft forums offer to remember your login,
but cannot do it? No matter how many times you check to remember the
password, next day it comes up blank.

Just about every other forum or newsgroup can remember.

Just about every other forum or newsgroup can remember.

Try http://www.mozilla.com/firefox and use their password manager to
remember passwords. Unlike IE, these passwords can be backed up.

works and no one knows why the offer to remember you and your password is
