Microsoft Fax: error 3003 when including cover pages

Hy guys,

I noticed that Microsoft Fax is not able to send fax when they include
cover pages.
I found earlier posts documenting this error but the main difference is
that I'm able to correctly preview the faxes therefore it should be a
different problem (which should rule out any file associations or
permissions issues).
The fax works just fine when skipping cover pages.

Any idea ?

Environment is Windows 2003 Standard

Windows 2003 standard?
State your fax software. State the problem you are having more clearly.

OK. Sorry for not being very precise.
I'm using the following configuration:

- Windows 2003 Standard Edition SP1 (Terminal Server)
- T37FSP Fax software
- Microsoft Fax services (required component for T37FSP)

Faxes are sent through a Cisco Gateway.
Everything works fine until we try to send faxes which use cover pages.
I'm able to preview the fax using the "preview" button during the send
a fax wizard. After I click send though, the fax doesn't show in the
outbox or sent items queue.
The fax server event viewer says fax could not be submitted and
highlights error 3003.
A research I just made maps error 3003 to description "A
StartDocPrinter call was not issued.".

The same errors appears using domain admin and local admin rights. It
doesn't make a difference if the fax is being sent remotely (after the
fax printer is mapped) or local from the fax server itself. Could it be
a problem on the Cisco Gateway ?

I tried installing Service Pack 1 on the fax server to no avail.
Any help would be VERY appreciated !

TIA

Aha. This group only supports the standalone fax software that come with
Windows XP. You'll need to look for the relevant Windows 2003 Server group.
