microphones

i have tried everything i can think of and still can't get my microphone to
work. Somebody help me Please

Ensure that the mic is in the correct jack.. if you want to use it with MSN
or Yahoo Messenger, you have to set up using the 'audio wizard'.. this may
well apply also to 'speech to text' programs.. it would help if we knew what
program you are trying to set up the mic on..
 
I'm trying to use it with aim, msn and yahoo. I can't seem to get it to work
for any of them except for on yahoo briefly but now I have nothing at all
