Microphone not working

I have a Logitech Microphone hooked up to a sound card, built into the
motherboard, called C-Media Wave Device. I just will not work. It's hooked
up, the line seems to be working, and I can't seem to get the computer to get
any output. Any Ideas Appreshiated

check the properties of the microphone input on the sound card. Click on the
speaker on the lower right corner and click options/properties and check to
make sure it is set properly for playback and recording. make sure the mic
is not muted.
