Messenger opening Outlook instead of Hotmail

I just bought a new PC, when I started messenger and logged in everything
seemed OK. I then wanted to check my Hotmail. When I pressed the messenger
icon in the system tray and selected "My e-mail inbox" Outlook started
instead of going to Hotmail.

I am running XP Pro.

In Internet explorer click on Tools>Internet Options>Programs

Changes the Email program to Hotmail>ok>Restart
