I made the mistake of creating an xp network floppy and installing it in a
working win'98 wireless network to add an xp laptop. How do I restore the
win'98 files that the xp network floppy overwrote? Thanks

What is the exact problem you're having now?

You might post this in a group for Win9x and get more help.....

The problem is that my win'98 wireless hookup doesn't work because the xp
network floppy overwrote critical win'98 files. I need to know what files are
put on the xp floppy and how to recover the proper win'98 files. Thanks.

OK - I suggest you post in a newsgroup for Win9x issues, then.

microsoft.public.win98.networking is probably the best bet.

If you can't find it through the web interface, try using a newsreader like
Outlook Express or Forte Agent instead - it's a lot easier to do nearly
everything there, including searching, which is always a good idea to do
before you post, as well as mark messages to be watched, and filter based on
replies to your posts.

The Microsoft public news server is news.microsoft.com and you can subscribe
to as many groups as you like.
