Messages sent from other mailbox not appearing in Sent Items

Users are sharing a common mailbox and they're all accessing it from their
Outlook 2003 through File >> Open Other User's Folder. They all want to see
when messages arrive for this common mailbox. One person is tasked with
replying to the messages sent to this mailbox. However when she replies ("on
behalf of" this mailbox) the messages are going into her Sent Items instead
of the common mailboxes.

I'm able to fix this problem by adding an Outlook profile for this mailbox.
However I'd like her to be able to view this mailbox as well as her own. Is
there a way to do this?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Jay,

I have similar problems & have found that if you set up this forwarding rule:

1. Go to the Mail screen
2. Select Tools > Rules and Alerts
3. On the “E-mail Rules†tab press the “New Rule†button
4. In the “Rules Wizard†box select “Start from a blank ruleâ€
5. In the “Step 1†box select “Check Messages After Sending†and press Next
6. In the “Select Conditions†select nothing and press Next
7. A warning “This rule will be applied to every message you send†will
appear. Select Yes
8. In the Step 1†box select “Move or Copy to the specified folderâ€
9. In the Step 2 box click on “specified†and select you manager’s Sent
Items folder, press OK, and then press Next
10. In the “Exceptions†list select “Except if it is marked as sensitivityâ€
11. In the Step 2 box (lower down) click on Sensitivity and select Personal,
then press Next
12. Give the rule a name and select Finish.

This will copy all your outgoing messages to the other Sent Items folder.
However, it will also copy everything you send from yours, unless you mark it
as personal – click the Options button and set the sensitivity to Personal.

It ain't perfect by any means but its the closest I've found.
