messages are going into unread search folder instead of inbox

My incoming emails are going into the unread search folder and not to my
inbox. when i go into the unread folder to view the message and then click
out of it-the message then disappears and I don't know where it is going.

The Unread Mail search folder isn't a real folder. It shows you your unread
mail AND the folder in which they reside. Just look in your Unread Mail
folder and you will see where those messages are. Look at the "In Folder"
column on the far right. You may have to adjust the width of some of ther
other columns to see that one. See the picture I've attached.

If you can't see them in your Inbox, then you have your Inbox view
incorrectly configured. They ARE in you Inbox when they arrive.

As for them disappearing from Unread Mail, of course they do. When you reda
them, they're no loonger unread, are they? Obviously if they're no longer
unread, they won't show up in the Unread Mail folder.
