Outlook Inbox and Uread Mail folders

All of a sudden all my incoming email goes into the Unread Mail folder
instead of into the Inbox folder where it a;ways has gone. How can I return
to having it go into the Inbox folder?

The "Unread Mail" folder is a Search Folder and not a "physical" folder.
This doesn't affect the physical location of where the message is being
received. Your mail is still being received in the original folder. You can
choose View-> Arrange By-> Folder in the Unread Mail folder to see in which
physical folder the items is being received.

I am having the exact same issue. When I send a test email to myself, it
shows in my unread folder, but isn't going to my inbox. I've tried what you
said, but to no avail. Any other suggestions?

In what folder does the Unread Messages folder say it resides?

When I right click on the Unread mail and goto properties, the location is
mailbox. I have tried what was suggested by the other postings, and I have
went as far as uninstalling office and reinstalling. I thought that this
would allow me to start fresh and setup the outlook acct on my pc. But after
installation, when I launch Outlook, it comes up with the same settings with
the acct. already set up. I'm guessing my profile is backed up to the
Exchange server. Is there anyway to just start over?

Thanks for your help, but I FINALLY got it. They say its always something
simple. I went in and removed all of my rules. After doing so, Outlook
prompted me to select which set of rules would I like to keep..The ones on
the Exchange Server or on the client. I selected client, and now everything
is now reset. I reinserted my rules and everything is back to normal.
Learned a lot. Hope this helps someone else out.
