Merging two ppt presentations but retaining each presentation's ma

Is there a quick way of doing this please? I need to merge two presentations
(ie to disperse the slides of one presentation in amongst the slides of the
other) but leave the slide masters unaffected.
One way (I think) is to, after saving all slides in one presentation, to
select all of the slides originating from the merged presentation and
re-applying their slide master from the design pane. But with a large
presentation, this is cumbersome and a fair bit of work.
Is there a quicker way?
TIA ... Greg

Choose Insert | Slides from File, navigate to the presentation you want to
insert and choose the slides you want to merge. Remember to check the option
that says "Keep Source Formatting" -- this should work in PowerPoint 2003
and all previous versions. If you are using PowerPoint 2007, do tell and
I'll provide you with info for that version.
