Merging two inboxes on same Outlook 2007 installation

I am changing domains for emails. I went into the account settings and added
the new email address and set it as the default. I did not delete the old
account. I then sent test email messages to test the new set up. Emails to
the new email address end up in a new inbox folder. Is there a way to set
things up so that the emails to the new address go into the old inbox? I will
eventually be removing the old email address from the account settings, once
I am confident of the set up and new ISP.

Then as a result of using the different type of accounts you will have two
sets of Personal Folders, your imap account having its own folder set (if
the new account had been a pop account, then you would only have a single
folder set)
You cannot combine the two, what you have is two seperate pst's (data files)
I believe I read also that the imap folder set uses the older pst format and
not the new unicode format

Keeping the two inboxes separate would not be an acceptable solution. Looking
further into this, I realized that I can simply set up the new account as a
POP, and voila, it all worked out fine - 1 inbox with two accounts.

Thanks for your input.
