Merging projects

I have two separate projects and now I want to merge them into one project before writing the whole thing to DV tape

I can of course render the first project to a DV file and then insert the result into the second project but sound tracks are supposed to run accross the join

Cut&Paste between projects does not work. Any suggestions

Copy and paste across projects does work, but you can't have two projects
open at once.... so open one of them, copy what you want to the computer's
clipboard, open the second one and paste it where you want.

How do I select a section of the project? Selecting a clips on the time-line using SHIFT or CTRL (The usual multiselect way) does not work

Besides whatever I copied, the clipboard seems empty when I open another project. The Paste option is gray in the menu indicating there's nothing there. I'll try again tonight but if you have suggestions on how to select and copy stuff in the time-line it would be appreciated

Thanks for your repl

It's just the usual Windows keyboard commands.... maybe limit it to one
track at a time until you get the swing of it.... and practice on something
you can afford to lose.
