menus popping up everywhere ..

Hello,
I have read an earlier post on my problem .. menus keep popping up
everywhere, after pointer just being idle a few seconds. It is very annoying,
the fixes listed in the previous post .. control panCheck Control
Panel\Folder Options\General Tab and make sure Double Click to
open (single click to select) is checked. As for the pop-ups Control
Panel\Folder Options\View Tab. Scroll down to the last line and uncheck
Show Popup description for desktop and folders. Hope this takes care of
your problem.

Run the edit entitled "Enable or Disable Active Window Tracking"
at line 171 on this site:

Be sure to click on "Disable" !

And what kind of mouse do you have?

Also:

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time
things worked and the time they didn't?

The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the
malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what
programs (and versions) did you use to determine this?

I have a mico innovations wireless mouse...and keyboard combo

I reinstalled the software for the mouse and keyboard. .. seems to be ok
now... duh ... shoulda thought of that 2 weeks ago before I reformated my
hard drive.... but oh well... that got rid of other problems...
