Memory top-up problem

I had two x 128 Mb memory sticks in my PC making 256 Mb.
When I added a 256 Mb stick the computer only recognised
it as a 128, making a total of 384 instead of 512. Anyone
have any idea as to why?

You MUST get the specs on the mother board before updating memory. Many
mother boards have a maximum memory of 256 Megs. Go to www.crucial.com, key
in your PC type and model and get the details.
