Memory.dmp infected?

Hi, i thought something was wrong with my computer when it started locking up and not responding so i ran my Avast! virus scan and it came up with an virus and the infected file was MEMORY.DMP. Im not exactly sure what this file is but after some googling i think its the memory core or something to do with the memory, im not sure. Is ok to delete it? cause....i did. o.o
please help me.

It's ok that you deleted it. No need of it anyway .
Do you encounter any problems? I ask because maybe you still have couple of viruses on your ocmputer, if you do not see them it doesn't mean they aren't there. If you like us to help, please post a HijackThis log in the next post.
