i installed a new cd-rw to replace the old one which wasnt
working
i got exactly the same errors
i went into the reg and windumb didn't recognise the drive
as a writeable device
i corrected this and now microflawed windumb recognises
the device but does not recognise writeable media
ALL of the hardware has been changed including mainboard
and problem persists
ive reinstalled windumb (repair) and after fixing
networking flaws (known issue 330163 cannot load remote
access connection manager services) the problem still
persists!
does anyone know of a solution to this that does not
involve 1- clean install of windumb (lose data and
valuable time) or 2 install proper OS eg linux etc (as
before)

solution, take machine to the backyard, and teach it some
manors with a hammer.the trick is to beat it until its
dumber than windum.

thanx for advice have been using chainsaw but of course a
hammer is the obvious more gratifying solution

ps its windumb(TM) not windum - windum risks heavy duty
legal action from mediocresoft(TM).
