Ok I installed SP2. Windows XP Pro/512MB/2.0Ghz/etc...All
was fine, only took about 45 minutes to download and
install. It was ok, still working. I was amazed, but then
I went to Media Player. No sound. Just from Media Player,
the soundcard is fine. So I uninstalled and reinstalled
Media Player from MS Site. Still no sound. None in Real
Player either, but in Ares I had sound. So I uninstalled
SP2 and ta da! The sound is back. Now, anyone know how to
make the sound work WITH SP2? :) Thanks!

The first thing you should have done was see if there were updated
drivers for your sound card from the maker's web site. Do that now
and install any updated drivers. If your sound card is built in to
the motherboard, you'll need to know what kind of chipset it uses for
sound and update drivers accordingly. Re-install SP2.
