Where do I go in explorer or windows so that I can set my
default media player. Currently if I want to play a
movie link from a website it takes forever and it tries
to play it with quicktime, how do I change it over to
explorer player or windows player?

In WMP goto Tools>>Opitions>>File Types

You can di it as Chris suggested or is you have SP1 installed you can use
the "Set Program Defaults" in the add/remove program wizard.
