Media player will not recognize cd burner Please Help!!

I attempt to burn cd's using Windows Media 9.0 player, but when I go to burn the cd it is not recognized. If I use Musicmatch it is found there and I can burn cd's but WMP will not pick up the cd player. The computer has no issues with the device, no yellow splats, updasted drivers. Please Help!

I had to uninstall my Easy CD creator burning software to be able to burn
directly from the media player. I had WMP 9.0...but got rid of it not long
ago because of other problems with it...I did a System Repair and got the
wnidows Media Player XP back..everything works perfect now.
