Media Player Will Not Recognize My CD-Burner

I just installed a DVD/CD Burner and medial player is the only software that
will not recognize it. I refesh in the burn screen and get no luck. Any
thoughts?

what version os? did you install a driver from the manufacture? Did you
choose or let windows choose the drive? did windows recognize it in Control
panel/ System/ Hardware/ Device Manager (probably since others recognize it)?
You may have to un-install it via Device Manager and re-install.
