I dont j«know why but media player 9 stoped showing Mpeg
image, even some personal videos i did that i can see on
the portable stoped shoing....just gives the sound.
Already instaled GSPOT and it says my system is able to
render but then it simply doesnt show nothing....already
reinstaled media player 9 several times.....

Gspot will not find codec's for MPEG files. If they are MPEG-2 files you
need to make sure you have a DVD Decoder installed. the most popular are
PowerDVD and WinDVD.

I had the same problem. In my case It came from a bad
codec uninstall. I uninstalled a program that removed one
of the codecs that media player was still trying to use.

I fixed it by installing nimo from here
http://www.softnews.ro/public/cat/11/2/2/11-2-2-12.shtml
I selected to do a full install.

I installed the add supported divx player pro from here
http://www.divx.com/ (it also installs gator/gain)

I rebooted

I uninstalled both using the uninstallers provided.

I reinstalled windows media player 9 from here
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/play
er.aspx

I rebooted

Mine works now. Kick the tires... your milage may very...
blah... blah...
