Media Player Crashing

[Hibes]

I have Media Player 10 installed on Win XP sp1 and it's worked fine for
years but now is crashing. It crashes everytime I try to play embedded
video on IE6 or stand alone files. The video doesn't even start to play.
Tried to uninstall it, which doesn't seem to completely uninstall it because
it's still there when I run it. Or perhaps the setup files are still there.
How can I get rid of it completely and try to install from scratch?
