Media Player 10

I have WinXPsp2 and Media Player 9.00.00.3250. While I was using the Media
Player, I received popup asking if I wanted to download recent upgrade of
Media Player 10. When I clicked YES, I was then asked RUN or SAVE. I didn't
know what that meant, but clicked on the SAVE. I now have the MP10Setup.exe
in my download folder.
#1- Before I click on it (the exe file), I thought I would ask if this
version number 10 will overwrite the version 9 that is already installed? Is
there anything else I should know? As I said, I have WinXPsp2 and IE6.
#2- OR, should I just forget about upgrading to Media Player 10?

It installs over WMP9.

If you don't have a device that requires v10 for synchronization, then
you'll be much happier without the woes of v10.
