Media Player 10

I've had nothing but grief since I downloaded Media Player 10. I have a slow
broadband (6xDialup), and my ISP does not offer, or mention, any proxy
service. I used to able to hear the radio with Media Player 9, but I can't
even do that now - well not via any Windows Media Player - although I do have
RealPlayer which does work. (And I think I can trace my slow shutdown
problems to this sorry period of my life.) Any suggestions?
