Windows Media Player 10

I have Windows XP Pro S.P. 2.

How would I put this program icon on my desktop? The prior version
that I have doesn't have a device to put it there. Maybe this version
does?

I use the media player primarily to play radio music while I compute.

I am sure there are other music players. Windows Media Player is good
enough for me although I think I used some other program.

Thank you,

I am not sure what you mean when you say the prior version doesn't have
a device to put it there. For any program you want to put on your
desktop, all you need to do is to create a shortcut for it and place
that shortcut on your desktop. All you have to do is click on Start
menu, locate the Windows Media Player icon, and then drag it from the
Start Menu to your desktop. That is all there is to it. Hopefully this
is what you are trying to accomplish.

This goes the same for any other program you want on your desktop.
