media library gone in player 9 for xp

recently for no apparent reason my windows media player
has lost the media library files and just gives a blank
black box, tried searching and adding media files but the
search does not move from 0% no matter what i do - any
clues please? matt.
 
I am having the same problem. It is like my library just
dissapeared but my files are still there...
