Every time I start up my computer a small window pops up saying "mdata.dat
Not found", and then a second window pops up "mkbdata.dat No found. I click
them and they go away. I have not seen any problems with my computer since
these messages started poping up. How do I fix this?

Have you recently uninstalled software for a mouse and/or
keyboard? If so, it sounds as if it left behind startup entries
in your registry.

See if this fixes your problem.
Download this program from Microsoft.

AutoRuns for Windows v8.61
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/Autoruns.mspx

Right click the zip file and select Extract all from the menu.
Run Autoruns.exe.
Click on the Logon tab.
Look for entries that mention those two files in the Image path
column.
Remove the check marks from the boxes next to those entries.
Restart your computer and see if the error messages still
appear.

If you prefer not to download this program then go to Start ->
Run and enter msconfig in the Open box. Click on the Startup
tab. Uncheck the entries that point to the two files. Click OK.
Restart you computer. When your computer restarts, put a check
mark in the box that pops up warning you that you're running in
Diagnostic Mode. Click OK.

Good luck

Determine which specific program is trying to access the file on
startup, and either remove or repair it, as appropriate. The title bar
of the pop-up should tell you the program name. If not:
