I get an error message every time I log on saying the
version of Mcaffee Security instaled is designed for a
different operating system, can't get in touch with
Mcaff, any ideas?

Check the version of your McAfee program. If you are able to open it, click
Help> About... to bring up a version information screen.

If not able to open the program, locate the program's folder. Find the main
executable file (will show as "Application" under Type if using Details
view). Right click on it and select Properties. The version number should
be displayed among the information displayed.

Go to McAfee's website. Look up your version. Check to see if there is an
update available to make it compatible with XP.
