Mcafee + Norton contention

Joe

I have Norton antivirus (11 months left on subscription)
and when I converted to DSL a Mcafee firewall was free
and I installed that. The Norton AutoProtect
periodically is disabled and I have to turn it on in
Computer Management > Services. Once in a while the
firewall is disabled but I can turn that on with the
Mcafee resident program.

Are they incompatible?

To avoid conflicts, only install and run one antivirus
program and one firewall program.
