Does any one is familiar with the cause & solution for this Windows XP Pro with SP2 error....Windows explorer crashes when using properties to see an existing sub-directory.

Error is about unable to read some memory location...this changes depending on files location....

Thanks for any help !.

Can you give me an "exact" error message ... or two. :thumb:

Do you get a BSOD ... if so, write it down, all of it, exactly, and post.

Examine the “System” and “Application” logs in Event Viewer for other recent errors that might give further clues. To do this, launch EventVwr.msc from a Run box ... or open “Administrative Tools” in the Control Panel then launch Event Viewer.

Have you run CHKDSK /F ... added anything new lately, hardware/software? ... what memory do you have? is it correctly set in the BIOS? What MB is it? what PC is it?

The more information you can give me the better I may be able to help. ;)
