Master Browser

Error Message= "The master browser has received a server
announcement from the computer xxx that believes that it
is master browser for the domain on transport NetBT_Tcpip_
{d7893-xxx.The master browser is stopping or an election
is being forced."

I received that message constantly on the network from
any client,normally i changed MBrowser parameters from
registry, i have several vlans. So i wonder:
I have one domain Master Browser, mainly clients from
vlans reports that error in the event viewer,
any comment !!!

Have you accidentally changed the registry key that forces a server to be
the Master Browser on more than one machine??

Or perhaps there is an issue with the clients on the VLANs not being able to
'talk' to the MB?

Ok, First point i have only one Domain Master Browser on
the network, probably you are right i have a issue with
the clients on the vlan...
What could be the reason ?? Any ports in special should be
open or it's probably close 'Cos i'm working with Cisco
Switches (Access Lists) .How i can test the clients to
know if they can talk to the Domain Master Browser ?

Have a look at this for the info. on ports:

There's also a resource kit tool called browstat (and I think browmon).
Have a play with these for some info. on your current browsers, etc.
